The New Ride!

Ta Da!
This is the new whip! Its a 2011 BMW 328i. Kinda my dream car. NBD.

Oh, and i've never driven anything off of the showroom floor before...

Favorite Specs: push to start, electronic key so basically keyless entry, big ol' engine, bluetooth capibilities, heated seats, dual temp controls, window tint, blah blah blah now im just bragging.

The downside is that I fear people might be more respectful of nice cars. I might not get parked next too or cut off on the highway anymore. I dont know what i'll do if this is the case. Blogging might not be as fun... But driving will be!

So what's your dream car? What sweet rides have you seen on the road lately?

Ice T

Take a close look at our fellow driver's rearview mirror...

Reader Jessica H. from Utah was driving along minding her own business when she came upon this abomination.

The pick she snapped shows a rearview mirror that is weighed down by necklaces!

I pity the fool.

A Parting of Ways

I put this sad picture on Utah's ksl.com at noon and by 8:30pm it had a buyer! Sounds like a tall tale or urban legend... We'll just keep it that way.

So I love ksl.com, if you need a car or need to sell this is a miracle worker!

Bye bye Black Beauty!

I'll keep you guessing as to what I'll be driving this Saturday! I have a very interesting prospect I'm pursuing...

Sharing Time!

I know I cant be the only person that is a witness to driving woes and stupidity. Send me your story or picture and i'll put it on the Drivin' Me Crazy blog! It helps to channel your road/parking lot rage.

Hit me up at drivinmecrazyut@gmail.com

Mystery Car

Do cars with covers give you the urge to peek and see whats hiding underneath? Its almost uncontrollable for me, but my husband was holding my hand really really tight as we walked by.

This sweet mystery ride took up two parking spaces in the garage and had a hood on it. K so obviously this guy didnt want it to get scratched. But let me tell ya, people in LA are ruthless drivers. This picture was taken at our hotel downtown.

So do we think this guy was from out of town? Or was he just asking for it?

Better yet, what is under the rag?!

Whats Wrong With This Picture?

Guess who got a ticket?! Yeah the dimwit in the crosswalk. But in my defense, it was framed by two yellow lines that looked like a stall and that crosswalk led to nowhere! This picture helped me dispute the ticket at the University of Utah's parking services. They let me off cause of my impeccable parking record (Only one warning in four years) and I learned my lesson. I mean a wheel chair or pedestrian could have not walked around me, how inconsiderate of me.

The Least Cool Way to Cruise

Is that permanently attached? Is that why it matches your paint job?

I had a PT Cruiser owner tell me one time that people only love the Cruiser or hate it, there is no in between.

I hate it.

Do you know of a good looking PT Cruiser? I swear they either have wood grain or flames, I cant handle either of those or a box on the top that matches your paint color.

Ack! What other awful additions and custom add-ons have you seen? Send me a pic or a story and i'll post it!

Hammer Time!

Can't touch this? Is that what your sticker says? Huh, looks like something hard and heavy already touched your bumper.

Does This Give You the Chills?

As the weather is warming up I thought I would remind you of why we are so excited to see the sunshine.

I was just about to get my front wheel drive on the freeway in this pic, that gives me the chills.

Excuse Me Lil Lady, But is That a Tramp Stamp?

Its hard to take pictures while you are driving, but I really really wanted this one...

That's a yellow VW bug with custom paint detailing on the back hatch. Say that three times fast and then try to squint and see what it says..

Ill tell you- to the left of the VW logo is a portrait of some dogs, definitely a white poodle. Then the other side had a flower and the words "Lil Lady."

How much does that crap cost? Is that phrase "It takes a lot of money to look this cheap" applicable? I mean how much would you have to love your dogs and flowers to give your car a tramp stamp that honored them?!

Sheesh. I wish I could have seen who was driving this car. My guess is purple haired old lady. What's yours?

Long Distance Relationship

May I introduce the Derek Jeter, aka the Yankee Shortstop!

What is up with the multiple car length stopping distance?

I'm at a red light in both of these pictures. I think they were even taken on the same day.

Anyways, you will be laughed at for leaving more than one entire car length between you and the car in front of you at a light, but you definitely wont ever rear-end anyone!

I was always taught that the proper stopping distance was close, but that you still were able to see the back tires of the car in front of you.

Do you do this? Or do you get right up on the car in front of you?

Is This For Real?!

Uh excuse me, you're in my parking space. Your white truck should have at least asked first if you wanted to share.

Let the record state that I actually had to crawl into my drivers seat through the passenger side door. That was less than a foot of space. I had parking lot rage, major.

Is this not ridiculous?! Has it happened to you?

Vintage Toyota

What is this?! What is this...

Is this safe? Probably safer that my 2002 Toyota Corolla ...

Wait no its not. 'Cause that is a Toyota that happens to be older than mine! Its a, ahem, vintage Toyota Land Cruiser.

Im starting to like it! Are you?

Doughnuts Anyone?

This gem was parked in a handicapped stall so I kinda feel bad about being so hard on this Minivan...

First thing I noticed as I walked up to it was not the crazy lift kit that made the tires look like the spare one you keep in the trunk, but rather my attention was grabbed by the license plate that read "WHEELS."

So yeah, that's when I realized that that isn't a doughnut on the back tire. Its one of four tires that has rims and a lift on it.

Rock it Minivan!

Lets Start at the Beginning

Utah might be one of the worst places to drive. The weather doesn't always cooperate and everyone thinks they are entitled to the fast lane. I learned to drive here when I was 15 years old, and after six years of driving i've become more and more bugged by bad drivers and bad car manners.

I  experience minor road rage at the slightest of driving offenses that I happen to witness. While I may get mad at my fellow drivers in the moment, I find I can laugh about these happenings after I get out of the car. So, this blog is to share with you the dumb things I see on the road and in parking lots on a daily basis. Yeah, a daily basis. I see something stupid happen on the road daily. So it might actually be my calling in life to report the dumb things I see that people do with their cars.
